Our client is the largest manufacturer of vinyl promotional products in Canada. They have built a very successful company, but have plateaued in the promotional industry. To continue their growth path they are developing a new business unit to sell custom menu covers to restaurants and hotels.
This is a new role to drive the sales for a new division. You will be calling on restaurant owners throughout the GTA. It is a classic outside sales role that requires going to a targeted area and doing drop-in cold calls. You will be in the field 3 to 4 days per week prospecting for new business. The rest of the time will be in the office working with the management team to build the business.
The position offers a base salary of $40,000 to earn $65,000 in year 1 and $85,000 in year 2. You will receive benefits, car allowance, cell phone laptop and vacation.
Requirements:
- 5+ years outside sales and territory management experience
- Strong track record of cold calling and prospecting for business
- Accomplished outside sales person that is used to doing drop-in cold calls
- Strong relationship builder
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage a sales territory independently and work under minimal supervision
